A base station tower is a structure built by China Tower for network operators such as China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. It is designed to support and transmit wireless signal devices, also known as communication towers. There are various types of mobile communication towers, with smaller ones ranging from 25 meters to 40 meters in height, which are most common in smaller cities. Larger base stations, such as those built in mountainous areas, can reach heights of 100 meters to 150 meters and can cover distances of over ten kilometers.
Base stations are used for mobile communication, and higher-power base stations are typically installed away from populated areas. In urban areas, most base stations have relatively low power, with radiation levels generally not exceeding 40 microwatts per square centimeter. For comparison, a household hair dryer emits radiation at around 100 microwatts per square centimeter. Therefore, the radiation from base stations is significantly lower than that from household appliances. Additionally, even if base stations emit weak radiation, it is absorbed by surrounding buildings and does not pose any harm to human health. There is no need for concern; one can relax and enjoy the benefits of mobile communication without worry.
